Discovered 10,000 "cosmic monsters" living in the center of the Milky Way

"Scientists have discovered that about 10,000 black holes live in the center of our Milky Way.

According to a new study, scientists have discovered about 10,000 black holes known as "cosmic monsters" that live in the center of our Milky Way.

Scientists have long suspected that there may be a number of small black holes surrounding a supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way, but the nature of black holes is difficult to observe. Light near the black hole does not escape their gravitational pull, so that theory has not been proven.

However...
By positioning X-rays through the movement of matter around a group of two separate black holes, but together, the scientific community calls a "double black hole," the number of black holes in the medium The Milky Way has gradually emerged.

Accordingly, astronomers have observed the evidence of 300 to 500 "double black holes". As a result, they concluded, there were about 10,000 black holes in the center of the Milky Way.

"This is a discovery that has long been suspected by scientific circles, and it opens up new research," said American astronomer Dr. Chuck Hailey of Columbia University. know.

A supermassive black hole in the center of the Milky Way is called Sagittarius A (Sgr A), its mass about 4 million times the mass of the Sun and 26,000 light years from Earth.

These new black holes are located about 31 trillion km from the supermassive black hole in the center of the Milky Way. And these black holes are about 10 times the mass of the Sun.
The findings are published in the journal Nature.
